She also founded Actors Audition Studios in Dallas and published a book about making it in the entertainment industry.

Lar Park Lincoln, who portrayed the conniving Linda Fairgate on Knots Landing and Tina Shepard, a woman with telekinetic powers, in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, has died. She was 63.
Lincoln, who battled breast cancer, died Tuesday, Actors Audition Studios, a Dallas-based company she founded, announced. No other details were immediately available.
“Over her 45-year career, Lar left an unforgettable mark on Hollywood through her dynamic performances and dedication to mentoring aspiring actors,” company execs said.

Park Lincoln arrived on CBS’ Knots Landing in 1987 as Linda, the daughter-in-law of Michele Lee’s Karen Fairgate, during the primetime soap’s ninth season. She returned as the character for the 11th season in 1989 and remained through season 13, when Linda is murdered by Brian Johnston (Philip Brown).
Along the way, her character was married to Eric Fairgate (Steve Shaw) and had an affair with his brother, Michael (Patrick Petersen), and a romantic relationship with her boss, Greg Sumner (William Devane).
“I would guess Linda was popular because she was so rotten and so fun at the same time,” she said in a 2022 interview. “I studied a few people to become Linda, as she went from the brown hair to the blond meanie. I remember having lunch with [series creator] David Jacobs when he told me that they were changing my hair to blond and he said, ‘I’m doing this because you look so sweet and everyone will be shocked how you turn out.’”
In Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988), her Tina Shepard squares off against Jason Voorhees and puts him away for good — almost.
Laurie Jill Park was born in Dallas on May 12, 1961. She made her acting debut in the 1985 CBS telefilm Children of the Night, then appeared on episodes of Heart of the City, Hunter, Outlaws, Ohara and Highway to Heaven during the next two years.
In 1987, she worked in the films The Princess Academy and House II: The Second Story, then completed an episode of Freddy’s Nightmares in 1988. After leaving Knots Landing, she guest-starred on such shows as Murder, She Wrote, Space: Above and Beyond and Beverly Hills, 90210 and reprised her role as Tina in Rose Blood: A Friday the 13th Fan Film (2021).
In addition to launching Actors Audition Studios, she published a book about making it in the entertainment industry, Get Started, Not Scammed, in 2008. She also served as a celebrity on-air guest for the QVC channel for nearly two decades to present beauty and travel products, and she had her own clothing line, the Piper Alexander Collection.
Survivors include her daughter, Piper (and her husband, Tarek); son Trevor (wife Danielle); sister Karen (husband Harold); brother Michael (wife Joan); and grandchildren Aura, Benjamin, Jack and Mia Grace.
Her husband of 14 years, Michael Lincoln, died in December 2015 of cancer at age 43.
Donations in her memory may be made to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation or The Entertainment Community Fund. For information about the celebration of life, contact the family at [email protected].
