Sophia Hutchins, a rising entrepreneur and close confidante to Caitlyn Jenner, has died at the age of 29 following a devastating ATV crash in Malibu, California on July 2, 2025.

According to Sergeant Eduardo Saucedo of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Hutchins was riding a 2013 Polaris ATV at high speed on Decker Canyon Road, a winding stretch in the Santa Monica Mountains, when she rear-ended a gray 2016 Mazda 6 driven by a local realtor.

“It looks like she may have been speeding… then clipped the rear of the Mazda,” Sgt. Saucedo told the Daily Mail. “That impact caused her to veer off the road and fall over the edge.”

Authorities confirmed that Hutchins’ vehicle plunged more than 300 feet into a ravine. Emergency responders rappelled down the cliff to reach her, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

🚨 No Injuries Reported in Other Vehicle

The Mazda’s driver and passenger, both local real estate professionals, were uninjured in the crash. Caitlyn Jenner, who lives nearby, was on scene shortly after the accident as investigators arrived. According to Sgt. Saucedo, there is currently no evidence of foul play, and toxicology reports are pending to determine if drugs or alcohol were involved.

Due to the steep terrain, the crashed ATV was left at the bottom of the ravine.
